SESSIONS TO MEASURABLE IMPROVEMENT

Our promise. Not marketing.

Every 1-1 journey starts with a baseline assessment. Our qualified coaches design a plan targeting the specific areas your child needs to develop — and aim to move the needle on those areas within four focused sessions. If we don't, we'll tell you why and we'll fix the plan.

THE 4 SESSION PROCESS

How your child's
development plan works.

PSP delivers a full package for primary schools across Greater Manchester: curriculum-aligned PE, PPA cover, after-school provision, specialist mentoring, and Ofsted-ready safeguarding documentation. Designed for schools, by schools.

01

ASSESSMENT

Baseline session

Coach observes technical, physical and psychological strengths. Identifies 2–3 focus areas your child will target across the block.

02

FOUNDATIONS

Build the base

Skill drills, movement patterns, coordination work. Repetition with intent — laying the technique that supports everything that follows.

03

APPLICATION

Under pressure

Skills tested in game-like scenarios. Coach adds decision-making and pace. Your child stops thinking about the technique and starts using it.

04

PROGRESS REVIEW

Measure & plan next

Re-assess the original baseline areas. Show measurable improvement. Decide together: continue the block, shift focus, or graduate.

POPULAR FOCUS AREAS

What kids work on.

Every 1-1 plan is bespoke — but here's what parents ask for most. Your baseline assessment will decide the actual focus for your child.

Technical Ability

For example, first touch, close control, weaker foot, shooting, passing accuracy. The whole technical toolbox.

Athletic Development

Speed, agility, balance, coordination. The foundation that makes every other skill work better.

Confidence & Mindset

For kids who love sport but hold back in groups. 1-1 space to try, fail, retry — without an audience.

Trials Preparation

Prepping for club trials, school teams, or district selection. Focused, targeted, calm.

YOUR DEDICATED COACH

Same coach.
Every session.

You're not booking sessions. You're booking a coach. Every child is paired with a specific PSP coach who runs their whole block — building the trust and rapport that make real progress possible.

All coaches are FA-qualified, DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained, and Ofsted-inspected. You'll meet your coach before the first session and can request a different match if the fit isn't right.

  • FA-qualified

  • DBS-checked

  • Ofsted Outstanding

YOUR QUESTIONS
  • Sessions run across our four Greater Manchester locations: Altrincham, Sale, Didsbury and Stockport, plus Northwich and Macclesfield. Once you've booked, we'll coordinate a venue and time that suits your family — most sessions happen at local park pitches or partner school facilities.

  • 1-1 works for any ability and any age from 5 upwards. The baseline assessment specifically calibrates the plan to your child's current level — a beginner isn't held back, and an advanced player isn't underserved. We adapt the entire programme around them.

  • Yes. Our coaches cover football (most requested), basketball, cricket, tennis, athletics, and general multi-sport development. Let us know your child's focus during booking and we'll match to a coach with the right specialism.

  • Yes — parents are welcome to watch from the sideline. For younger children this is usually helpful. For older ones (8+) some coaches find kids relax and try new things more when parents aren't watching — we'll advise on the best approach after the baseline session.

  • Reschedule any session up to 24 hours before, no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged in full so the coach's booked time is covered. Unused sessions in a block are valid for 6 months from purchase.

  • Yes — 1-1 Player Development qualifies for all major childcare voucher schemes and Tax-Free Childcare. iPal handles the voucher flow at checkout automatically.

READY TO START?

Book the baseline session.
Everything follows from that.

The first session is the assessment — coach observes, plan gets built, focus areas identified. You'll leave with a clear picture of where the next four sessions are heading.
